Water. The average distance covered by the average person in Ruhango District to be able to get access to water is 855 meters. Concerning the problem of water there are 392 sources of water, 22 sources of piped water, and 243 terminal fountains.

Transport and communication. For that concerning transport, the District of Ruhango has 16 main roads connecting all the sectors in the district. Due to the effect of erosion and because of lack of maintenance, many of these roads are in a deteriorating state and require immediate rehabilitation. The district has 19 bridges of which most of them need to be repaired because they play a big role in facilitating different sectors to be able to interact socially as well as economically. Ruhango District has got about 34,563 radios, 273 televisions, 193 fixed telephones, 7,186 mobile phones, 235 post office boxes, and 3 internet café.

Energy. Firewood is the major source of energy for the population. It is used so much in such a way that it causes a problem of cutting trees that are at the moment covering an area of about 1,268 ha. As for other energy sources, like electricity, it is only available in some trading centers and major towns like Ruhango town. Wind energy and biogas are not yet available but solar energy exists in certain places.
