Financial institutions and governmental organizations. Concerning the financial institutions, there are six Banque Populaires including that of Buhanda, Murama, Kigoma, Ruhango, Mukingi, and Kinazi and other financial institutions such as Inkingi, DUTERIMBERE, UNICLECAM, INKINGI, CIF ISONGA and RIM.

Actually sixteen government organizations operate in Ruhango District. They intervene in various fields, and help in a way in the development of the district and are always approached for a franc and transparent dialogue for what each one of them is intervening.

Mining. Ruhango has got coltan ore deposits. There is also clay being used already in brick and tile making. However, most of the minerals that are deep under ground remain unknown to the district authorities and to prospective investors due to lack of suitable statistics and equipment.

The art and craft industry. This industry is more concertrated on basket making, the brick making, masonry; tile making, weaving, embroidery and joinery. Certain art pieces are intended for internal market as well as the external market especially famous “Agaseke”.
