Tourism in Ruhango District is not very well developed and does not generate enough resources for the District because there are no suitable hotels for accommodating tourists.

There are eight historic sites namely: Urutare rwa Kamegeli, Umugina w' Imvuzo, Intango ya Rwabugili, Amasenga y' Impyisi, Umwari wa Musamo, Igisoro cya Ruganzu, Iriba rya Mashira and kwa Mwungeri wa Nyankaka. In certain sectors, genocide memorial sites are to be built or rehabilitated.

There are also several Hotels, Restaurant and Bars that can accommodate tourists. Although they are not many but plans are being put in place to build more and encourage investors to invest in this sector.
