Ruhango District received 20,541 Gacaca cases in category 2 of which 20,514 (99.99%) were settled, and 604 Gacaca cases in category 1, and 116 (19.2%) cases were settled, finally in category 37,012 cases were received and 36,897 (99.7%) cases were settled.

People participated greatly in Gacaca courts from its inception up to the present. There are very few complaints concerning these courts and the population have unblessed well. The judges have been working in harmony and have been abiding with the laws that govern them.

The gacaca judges were trained by the justice ministry and have been facilitated with transport and communication facilities like bicycles and radios. These help them in conducting there work efficiently and effectively. This also motivates them a lot and encourages them to work harder.
