In implementing the government policy of Agasozi Ndatwa, soil erosion have been controlled on 49 hills within the district.

With the help of TIG several hectares of land were constructed with radical terraces. This will improve the agricultural productivity of the district because the problem of soil erosion will have been solved.

The population is also participating in this endevor especially during the community work known as Umuganda where people come together with their tools and work on a particular thing and then after the work they discuss various issues facing their community.
